Sourcing from China, without the risk.
You've heard the horror stories — wrong products, silent suppliers, money gone. MTsourcing is UK-based with our own sourcing team on the ground in Guangzhou and the Pearl River Delta. We shortlist licence-checked factories, negotiate in the language, inspect every order before the balance is paid, and deliver to your door.
Sourcing smarter. Importing safer. Growing together.
End-to-end sourcing, handled by one team.
From finding the right factory to landing goods at your door — you get one accountable point of contact for the whole journey.
Supplier sourcing & verification
Half of "manufacturers" on Alibaba are trading companies with a markup in the middle. We check business licences and production capability, and shortlist the factories that actually make your product.
Price negotiation
We negotiate face to face, in the language, against real local market prices — including the 1688 domestic benchmarks foreign buyers never see. You pay the factory price, not the foreigner price.
Quality control & inspections
Pre-shipment inspection to AQL 2.5 on every order — checked against your approved sample. You see photos, video and a written report, and approve before the balance is paid.
Sampling & product development
We consolidate samples from shortlisted factories and ship them to you in one box. The one you approve becomes the signed-off "golden sample" — the standard every production unit is inspected against.
Logistics & shipping support
Express (3–5 days), air (5–8), rail (~20) or sea (30–40) — quoted side by side so you choose on real numbers. Full DDP available: duties and customs handled, delivered to your warehouse door.
Private label & packaging
Your brand, your box. Logo application, retail packaging, barcodes and UKCA/CE compliance marking handled at the factory — so your product lands shelf-ready, not warehouse-bound.
Four steps from idea to your door.
Simple, transparent, and you stay in control at every stage — nothing moves forward until you approve it.
Tell us your product
Send a photo, link or spec — WhatsApp is fine. Within 24–48h we confirm what's possible and what it should really cost ex-factory.
We source & quote
Licence-checked factory shortlist and a full landed quote — unit price, tooling, freight and duty shown separately, not a mystery lump sum.
You approve samples
Samples consolidated to your door. The one you sign off becomes the golden sample — production doesn't start until it's right.
We QC & ship
Pre-shipment inspection to AQL 2.5 against your golden sample. Balance is only paid after you approve the report — then we ship door to door.
Someone accountable, on the ground.
The difference between a good import and a costly mistake is usually one thing: a real person who owns the outcome. That's what you get.
A real person owns your order
Not a faceless portal. A dedicated project manager in Guangzhou — an hour's drive from most Pearl River Delta factories — handles your order from first quote to final delivery.
Every order inspected before it ships
Independent quality control with photos and a report. We hold the shipment until it meets the spec you approved.
Clear, English-speaking communication
No translation gaps or 3am confusion. You get plain updates from someone who actually answers.
Transparent, aligned pricing
A flat £295 fee for your pilot order, then a simple 5–8% commission as an ongoing client. Factory price and our fee always shown separately — no hidden supplier kickbacks. We win when your product is right.
From factory floor to your front door.
Sourcing isn't a website job. It happens on factory floors, at inspection tables and in port terminals — that's where the work gets done.
Stop importing on hope.
Most China sourcing horror stories come from the same five mistakes. Here's how having someone on the ground changes each one.
The traditional way — DIY on Alibaba
- Messaging 30 "factories" on Alibaba — half are trading companies with a markup in the middle
- Quoted the foreigner price, negotiating over chat in broken English
- Paying 100% upfront and hoping — zero leverage once the money's gone
- First time you see the goods is when the container lands in the UK
- Supplier goes quiet the moment there's a problem
The MTsourcing way
- Licence-checked manufacturers shortlisted for you — factory-direct, no middle markup
- Negotiated face to face in the language, against real local market prices
- 30/70 terms — the balance is only paid after your order passes inspection
- Photo & video QC report to AQL 2.5 before anything ships
- One accountable person on WhatsApp who answers the same day
Same factory. Two very different prices.
The "foreigner markup" is real. Click through common product categories and see what negotiating on the ground, in the language, typically changes.
Illustrative category examples from on-the-ground quoting — factory prices are usually quoted in USD. Your product gets an exact quote, with the factory price and our fee shown separately.
Commitments, in writing.
Sourcing is sold on promises. These are the ones that go into your agreement — so you can hold us to them, not just hope.
You pay the balance after inspection
Standard terms are 30% deposit and 70% before shipment. We don't advise releasing that balance until your order has passed inspection and the report is in your hands — because that money is your only real leverage.
Our fee is refunded if we get it wrong
If an order we've inspected arrives defective, our fee for that order is refunded in full. It's written into the pilot agreement you sign — not just a line on a website.
You deal with the founder directly
No account manager, no ticket queue. Mouhammed handles your order from first quote to final delivery, and answers on WhatsApp the same day — in English, in your timezone.
What's one bad shipment worth to you?
Drag to your typical order size and see what a problem shipment costs — versus what it costs to prevent one.
Illustrative only — defect rates, refunds and shipping issues vary. Pick the loss level you've seen, or the one you're not willing to risk.
Start small. Scale when we've earned it.
No contracts, no minimums to begin — one order is enough to see how we work.
Pilot Order
- Supplier found, vetted and verified — a real factory, not a middleman
- Price negotiated on the ground, in the language
- Full pre-shipment inspection — photos and a written report before you pay the balance
- Landed-cost quote — product, our fee and shipping shown separately
- Door-to-door shipping arranged
Ongoing Sourcing Partner
- Your sourcing department in China — every order handled end to end
- Inspection on every shipment, before the balance is paid
- Backup supplier options — one factory never holds you hostage
- Priority response, consolidated shipping and production planning around Chinese New Year
- Pilot fee credited against your first month
The things importers actually ask.
Simple and transparent. Your first order runs as a flat-fee Pilot Order — £295 covering supplier vetting, negotiation and a full pre-shipment inspection. After that, ongoing clients pay a clear 5–8% commission on order value. You always see the factory price and our fee separately, so you know exactly what you're paying for — and if an order we've inspected arrives defective, our fee for that order is refunded.
Then you pay the £350 monthly minimum, and it's credited against your commission the moment you do order — you never pay twice for the same month. That minimum holds your capacity and covers the work that happens between orders: keeping your supplier relationships warm, watching price movements, and planning production around Chinese New Year. And if you genuinely only import once or twice a year, we'll tell you straight that a monthly arrangement isn't right for you — stay on per-order pilots instead.
No. There's no minimum term and no exit fee — 30 days' notice either side, whenever you want. Your supplier relationships stay yours if you leave; we don't hold them hostage. The only thing we ask is that you tell us why, because that's how we get better.
Standard terms in China are a 30% deposit to start production and 70% balance before shipment — and that split is your biggest protection. (We break the full cost stack down in our guide to what importing from China really costs.) We never let clients pay 100% upfront, and the 70% balance is only released after your order passes its pre-shipment inspection. You pay the factory price and our fee separately, so you always see exactly where your money goes.
MOQs are set by each factory and vary by product — typically 500–1,000 units for custom goods, less for stock items. Because we source on the ground (including domestic channels like 1688 that foreign buyers can't easily use), we can often find smaller first runs or negotiate a trial-order MOQ. Tell us your target quantity and we'll be honest about what's realistic.
We check the business licence (yingye zhizhao) to confirm the company is registered as a manufacturer, not a trader (our guide to verifying a Chinese supplier walks through exactly how); verify export capability and certifications; review production history for your product type; and order samples before you commit. For larger orders we audit on site — most Pearl River Delta factories are within an hour of us. You get real factories with a track record, not a name off a directory.
Every order gets a pre-shipment inspection to AQL 2.5 — the international sampling standard — checked against your signed-off golden sample: workmanship, function, packaging, labelling and carton drop-test. Larger runs also get in-line checks during production, when problems are still cheap to fix. You receive photos, video and a written report, and the shipment doesn't move until you approve it.
Express courier 3–5 days, air freight 5–8, rail around 20, sea 30–40 to the UK — quoted side by side, including full DDP where we handle customs and deliver to your door. Two timing realities we'll always flag: factories shut for 2–4 weeks around Chinese New Year (late Jan–Feb), and sea freight rates spike before it — we plan your orders around both so you're never caught out of stock.
You're not on your own with a factory that's gone quiet. Because we're on the ground and inspect before you pay the balance, most problems are caught early. If something slips through, we deal directly with the factory to arrange rework, replacement or a refund on your behalf. And our guarantee is simple: if an order we've inspected arrives defective, our service fee for that order is refunded.
